Hotel Villa Europa

We ate at the "ELIZABETH" hotel, just a few steps from the B&B, where breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beach service were all provided. The food and setting there were excellent. Our thanks to Rossella, a fantastic waitress, and the rest of the staff. Elisabetta was very helpful with finding us a place in the property. The room was clean but dated and very small. With a little rearranging, my wife and I managed to spend four days there with our friends.

I spent a week at the hotel, about 50 metres from the beach, and ate at Hotel Elizabeth nearby. It's an older place, but had the comforts we needed, including air conditioning, an en-suite shower, TV, and the usual amenities. The staff were helpful. Giulia deserves a special mention: always smiling, and clearly respected by her more experienced colleagues. She was professional, patient, kind, and especially helpful with my lively six-year-old son. I'd recommend it to everyone. Loris

The beach service was good, and the hotel is just steps from the sea. Our full-board meals were at the Elizabeth Hotel. The rest of the stay was disappointing. Three of us shared a room of about 10-12 square metres including the bathroom. It was poorly cleaned, with a small fridge where a bedside table should have been. The old exterior fixtures wouldn't lock, and reception was open only from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Parking was a dream, meaning we couldn't count on it. The food was barely adequate, and the wait staff seemed completely disorganized, rushing around without knowing what to do. Tables kept changing, so we didn't know where to sit and ended up waiting on our feet. There was no clear leadership from a waiter. At breakfast we even had to clear and set our own table. I might have given another star for the waiters' great courtesy, but that isn't the hotel's merit.

The location is very handy: the beach, shops, pharmacy, and other things are only a few metres away, and we had no trouble parking. It's not modern, but it has everything you need, including a little terrace. I prefer quieter places, though. The staff were kind and helpful, and my stay was definitely positive. Breakfast at the hotel Elizabeth didn't do much for me, but we got to enjoy the pool. I'd recommend it.
