B&B 30 mt dal Duomo

There was hair on the room floor, the kitchen fridge was dirty, and old drinks had been left there. I told the manager, who said he'd sort it out, but nothing changed. The cleanliness was poor. When I called on checkout day to ask where to leave the keys, he didn't pick up or call back, though he'd called the day before to collect payment.

The apartment was a great find, and the thoughtful touches impressed me, including a bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge. There was also a dispenser for still and sparkling water, plus a coffee machine with Borbone pods. I booked a one-bedroom setup with the bedroom and living area together in one room. It's right downtown, which is ideal if that's where you want to stay. Parking is in a square about 100 meters away, but the spaces are blue-lined. I'll definitely get in touch again next time I'm back in Benevento.

Right by the Duomo, just a few meters away, the location is clearly the apartment's biggest plus. There are three rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a shared room for breakfast and lunch. Wi-Fi in the room was fast and worked perfectly, but the mattress was much too soft. The bathroom could use better fixtures and a better shower stall, and there's no bidet. The little table in the refreshment area is cramped for four. Breakfast was only packaged items from Eurospin. We had to call several times to confirm the booking and get into the property, so the service felt inconsistent. A few parts need a rethink and could be improved.

Thanks again to Mirko and his staff. The room overlooking the archaeological excavations was lovely and clean, just as described, and the place is centrally located, close to the Roman Theater and the Corso. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, which made for a fantastic stay.
