The bathroom smelled like old urine and didn't feel clean. The sheets were itchy and also seemed unclean, there were no bins in the room or shared kitchen, no kitchen soap, and only half a roll of toilet paper and a little hand soap left. The air conditioning didn't work at all. The bathroom key also opened both our bathroom and bedroom doors, which made us worry about security while sleeping. We couldn't find the place easily, and the area felt dodgy. We didn't feel safe even with the door locked, and the three of us women barricaded ourselves inside because two men staying next door scared us. They groped us while coming in with the host. The walls were very thin, so we could hear everything, and it was noisy. The buses in the area weren't reliable, which made getting to the upper city difficult. After this stay, I won't visit Bergamo again.
