The location is fantastic, just around the corner from the main street in Bergamo's charmingissimo upper town. You can get breakfast at a special rate at the cafe where Stracciatella ice cream was invented, and Barbara is a warm, understanding, and charming host. I know the Bergamo and Milan area well from travelling in Italy, but I haven't come across accommodation this charming and good value before. Dimora is brand new, with stylish design and quality fittings, while glimpses of 16th century frescoes show through the fresh plaster in this ancient palazzo. I'm not sure what word quite fits this apartment, but exceptional comes close.

Barbara made our two-day stay especially nice with her kindness and helpfulness. She welcomed us with a sweet smile and left a little gift in the apartment, then shared tips for enjoying the city. The apartment is comfortable and welcoming, close to the historic center and the cable car. We were staying there on our way back from a trip to the Baltic capitals. I'd definitely recommend this property.

The hostess was lovely, responsive, and very helpful. The place itself is pleasant, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together, with tasteful details. At night, light outside came on whenever someone walked past, and it shone through the glass in the front door into the room. That disturbed us. Curtains by the window would also have made the place feel cosier.
