Joys House

Our flight was cancelled by Ryanair, so we had to find a hotel at the last minute. The owner welcomed us herself and was extremely nice, clearly trying hard to give guests a great stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, with super comfortable beds. There was water and some snacks available all day in the common area. This place is a hidden gem in Bergamo, and we highly recommend it. The value is hard to beat. Other places in town charge much more while offering less. Amazing!

Joy made the stay special. She was incredibly kind and accommodating, and her lovely dog was good company when I got up and started my day. The room was a good size with an ensuite bathroom, a comfortable bed, a mini fridge, and space for clothes. I can't say enough about how nice Joy was. Thank you, Joy!

The walk to Citta Bassa is closer than the location might seem, and it's a lovely, pleasant route. The place was clean and quiet, and good value for money. Breakfast was nice, and Joys was very friendly. She gave us a good price because we booked directly with her. There may be parking on the premises, and there are plenty of free, safe spaces on the nearby streets too.

We hadn't booked ahead, but the hostess was so accommodating and got us into a fantastic room. It had a balcony, air conditioning, a large bathroom with a powerful shower, and a bed that was hard to leave. There was also a TV with Netflix and a fridge, though we didn't use either. Breakfast was self-serve and available at all hours, with juice, cereal, yogurt, bread, and a coffee machine. The kitchen was fully equipped. Restaurants and cafes were nearby, as was local transport, and the old town was about a 25 minute walk. We also got great food and travel recommendations. We found this place by chance and were so glad we did. I'm already thinking about staying here at the end of our trip. I can't think of anything I'd change. Thanks so much, and the dog was very cute!
