Villa Magnolia Lago Maggiore

The breakfast was a proper Italian-style one, and the huge bathroom had both a shower and a bath. We had a warm welcome, a large, clean room, and a comfortable bed. Guests can use the magical one-hectare garden, where there are two dogs. I’d keep this place a secret, but the manager deserves my five-star rating.

A very good B&B in a quiet spot, still close to the center by car. The owners were helpful and attentive to cleanliness and to whatever guests needed.

We spent these days walking by the lakes, enjoying the winter atmosphere in total peace and relaxation. The villa has a lovely green area, and you can admire the view from the bright, clean rooms. I was given the keys to a spacious bedroom with a large, clean bathroom for my weekend stay. The caretaker was kind and very helpful, ready to sort out any problem straight away. The one drawback was finding the place: GPS sent us down a very narrow road 😅. After a quick look and a bit of intuition, we found a wider route instead ☺️.

The self-service kitchen was a real plus, since we could set our own pace and feel like we were on vacation. The estate is beautiful, quiet, and well located, just minutes from the town center, and the caretaker was welcoming with useful advice. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for the first few nights, in a room away from everyone. On the last night, a family arrived and the experience took a turn for the worse: the front door was locked, the shared spaces were a mess, and so on. There's not much privacy, so the stay depends a lot on how considerate the other guests are. It's a beautiful place I'd recommend, especially for group stays or private stays.
