Bibione's crowds put me off enough that I won't return, though that has nothing to do with Villaggio Michelangelo. We rented one of its “houses” for our summer holiday. The tourist office staff were friendly, and the facilities were generally fine. A few fridge shelves were cracked and the mop didn't work, but those things didn't spoil our trip. The pool itself is lovely, but there are no sun loungers or parasols, and guests aren't allowed to bring them over from the house. You have to pack them or buy them. Also, the pool closes for a siesta during the hottest part of the day, even when nobody is staffing it. Maybe that's a cultural difference, but it seemed silly to me. If Bibione is new to you, you might want to look into how many tourists go there.

The apartment was filthy and smelled awful. There was hair in the fridge, and the top was black with dust. No microwave, grill or kettle, even though all three were listed. They want €100 if you don't clean before leaving, but here's a tip: they don't check whether you've cleaned, so you can skip it. For about the same money, you could stay in a hotel by the beach. Don't go here.

The grounds looked lovely and clean, and there's a pool, plus the location is good. But our apartment didn't have enough cutlery, plates or cups for the four of us to eat together. When we asked the agency for more dishes and utensils, they told us to BUY THEM AT THE SUPERMARKET. :-D What sort of service is that? :-D

The kitchen had everything we could need, and the pool was beautiful. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, so bring your own bedding next time 😣

Basic accommodation, but it has the essentials. There's no kettle, and the beds are narrower and shorter than ideal for tall people. Still manageable.
