Villaggio Orchidee

The beach is about a kilometer away in a straight line, so the walk there makes a lovely evening outing. The place was very clean and great value. The pool has a deeper section at 1.65 meters and a shallow one around 0.7 meters for kids, though the water was cool, about 18°C. There are some cooking and eating utensils, but no kettle, so we brought ours. Bed linen is free to collect from the office. The Wi-Fi never worked, and nobody acted on our requests to fix it. I'd still come back.

It feels almost like being at home, with a TV, fridge, stovetop, and all the utensils needed for cooking and setting the table. We had a two-bedroom suite and a room with a kitchenette, plus a shower and toilet. There's also a pool, and parking is available right by the apartment. A cozy spot for a family or friends to unwind.

The location really worked for us. Shops, the bakery, post office, market, and amusement park are close by, and the sea is about a 15-minute walk even with the kids and all our inflatables and mattress. The beach package comes with an umbrella and two loungers. We had an apartment on the first floor and a parking space for each car. There were no mosquitoes or other insects. Inside, it was clean and very well equipped, with a microwave, a fridge with freezer, pots and pans, a coffee maker, and a drip coffee machine. No kettle, but that was manageable. The pool was clean, with two depths and loungers nearby. The cicadas take a little getting used to with all their buzzing. :) The building itself gets only a 3 from me, but the stay gets a 5. I recommend it.

The pool was clean, the air conditioning worked, and the location was quiet in the evenings and only 10 minutes from the beach. But the villa needs work, and the beds were so bad that I didn't get one decent night's sleep during my week away. Basic cleaning supplies were missing too. After a 1,000 km drive, you just want to find detergent and have coffee in a clean cup, so that was irritating.
