Ville Verdi

The beach was a bright spot. It was clean, not crowded, and the beach chairs came with the price. We tried to make the best of the week and spent plenty of time there, but I can’t recommend Ville Verdi. We booked a house in Bibione at the last minute because of coronavirus. The online photos looked convincing, but the house we got was completely different from the nicely decorated one shown. After the long drive, we would have rather turned around and gone home. We had booked for five people, yet there were just three garden chairs. They were cheap and uncomfortable, and the loungers had no cushions or pads. The kitchen supplies were barely enough for five: only five small water glasses, no wine glasses, three little pots, one frying pan and hardly any utensils. I lost the urge to cook straight away. Eating out every day might work for a week, but two weeks would be too expensive. We had ordered sheets, but none were in the house. Late in the afternoon we had to drive back across Bibione to the agency to collect them. Internet was only available from one provider. The house listed it at 15 euros a week, but the price had gone up to 30 euros. The garden was neglected, and there was only a clothes rack for hanging up large towels after the beach. A clothesline would have helped. Other Ville Verdi houses had one. I’m glad we paid for cleaning, because otherwise I’d have had to deal with the previous guests’ mess. The bathroom was dirty, with cobwebs and harvestmen in it.
