Bijou House

The personalized city guide Cristina left for us had our names printed on the cover and was full of invaluable information. She also met us at the front door, showed us around, and arranged restaurant reservations whenever we needed them, sometimes at the last minute. Bijou House was wonderful, and the location was perfect. Cristina’s help throughout the stay was priceless. We felt incredibly well looked after, and the place far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for everything, Cristina. We can’t wait to return!

You can travel light here: the charming flat is fully equipped, and there’s even plenty of food waiting for your first day. Tourist information covers everything from restaurants to bus tickets, so you don’t have to figure it all out yourself. It’s elegant and stylish in a way I really haven’t found in any hotel, just steps from the towers of Bologna and the bright heart of Italy’s most joyous city. The rates are absolutely advantageous. If you’re staying in Bologna, this is the place, without exception.

We loved being able to walk into the city centre from this great location. Bologna is a stunning, lively city with incredible architecture, and this apartment is a real bijou. We’d already visited Ferrara and Modena, and now that we’ve found this pearl in the heart of the city, we’ll be back, perhaps to see Florence and Ravenna too. The apartment was beautiful and cozy, with a spacious bedroom and the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. I’d never tried a silk pillowcase before, and wow, it’s fantastic! Christina was an incredible hostess. She provided wine, cheese, ham, fruit and pastries, and thought of everything, including a booklet printed with our names and packed with useful information, tips and restaurant recommendations. We tried some of those restaurants and were very happy with them. We were impressed and astonished by her generosity. Thanks, Christina. We’ll always remember your kindness.

The location is a bullseye: close to everything, and wonderfully quiet at the back of the building. After ten days, we felt right at home and already miss the apartment. We hope to return to beautiful Bologna and to Cristina soon. She was willing to arrange everything during our stay and made us feel like family. Grazie mille Cristina, per sempre nei nostri cuori! Cristina gave us a very warm welcome and spared no expense: treats covered the table, there was food and drink in the fridge, and she left us a lovely bottle of wine. The place is special, wonderfully spacious and fully equipped. The bed was warm and soft, and I’m going to buy a mulberry silk pillowcase for home too. For us, it’s a 10+.
