Borgonuovo Apartments

A good place.

The apartment felt cold and uncomfortable throughout the night. The radiators were on, but they weren't warm enough to heat the room, and there was no air conditioning or other heating option. Cold air also came in through the second entrance, whose handle was broken and which wouldn't shut properly. Cleanliness was another serious disappointment. Overall, I had a poor experience at this B&B.

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the location is central with plenty of services nearby. What made the stay especially enjoyable was the owner's thoughtfulness and readiness to help with every need. A distinctive, impeccable stay, and I'd happily return.

The location was convenient, but the price was far too high for what we got. Our room opened onto an internal courtyard, and people could see in through the thin curtains. We had to keep the blinds down for privacy, which meant losing natural light. The handle on the room door was broken, so it couldn't be closed properly either. The night was miserable. Another guest screamed, made strange noises, and slammed doors and objects. I know that wasn't necessarily the property's fault, but the wall between our room and the next was very thin, with only a locked door between them. We could hear every word, so our privacy and sleep suffered. Hygiene was just as bad. The bathroom was dirty and partly broken, the room was filthy and neglected, and there was other guests' hair on the bed, making it seem the sheets hadn't been changed properly. Ants came out of cracks in the wall above the bed, and I even saw what looked like insect eggs (photo attached). There were also soap wrappers from previous guests on a dusty bathroom cabinet (photo attached). I can't recommend this B&B. Between the poor cleanliness, nighttime noise, and lack of soundproofing, it wasn't suitable for us. If this is how it's managed, I don't think they should be renting rooms.
