Casa Bella San Martino

There was coffee and tea in the main room, which also doubled as reception, and the price was much lower than other places in the historic center on the same dates. We got a friendly welcome even though we arrived late, though there was a 50 euro supplement. Our triple room had decent space, with a double bed in one room and a large single in a separate room behind a door. The ceiling was incredible. The place was clean throughout, with just a few older marks on the furniture and doors that could use repainting. Nothing major. The bathroom was clean and the bed linen impeccable. The location was excellent.

The heating worked well, and the location was a plus, but I wouldn't recommend the place because of the hygiene. There was hair on the sheets and towels, and the room was quite dirty. The sink was dirty too, and its design meant running water wouldn't wash it clean. Staff availability seemed inconsistent, which made them hard to reach. When there's an issue, getting through can take 3-4 hours.

The double room had plenty of space, though it was barely furnished, with just one desk chair and nowhere else to sit. The shower was spacious and nice. The sink was the most inconvenient I've ever used, with no spot at all for toiletries, which made things like putting in contact lenses difficult. The location right in the city center was perfect.

The apartment had all the equipment we needed, and the bedroom was roomy and quiet. Cleaning and tidiness were reasonable, though the place could have been a little cleaner. It's in a wonderful spot in the heart of the charming old town, and I definitely recommend it.
