8/10
We were stranded in Bologna for a night after our flight was diverted, and while many hotels, even outside the city, were charging €800 to €5,000, we paid much, much less here. The rooms were clean and the service was good, so despite the one-star rating, I’d call it a very good hotel. Everything is handled remotely, which is the only “flaw”, but a very kind and patient girl helped us. Recommended!

The room was clean and okay, but I’m not fully convinced about the safety of the area. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the city centre, and buses aren’t much quicker with the traffic and long waits at traffic lights. The drains were clogged, and access was through a link, so you need enough battery on your phone to get to your room.
