The best part is the location, tucked into an alley right in the middle of town. The decor throughout is quirky, and because this is a converted old building, the rooms all have different shapes and sizes. Our room was spacious and had very good amenities. Viola was a helpful host, and we had a great stay. Just bear in mind it isn’t a hotel, so reception isn’t staffed 24 hours and daily bed-making is available on request. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was huge, or at least I think it was room 103, and the place was beautifully decorated. Service was great, and the complimentary coffee was a definite plus. The location is excellent, but the noise and lack of privacy made our stay really uncomfortable. We could hear the room above us so clearly that even the toilet flushing sounded like it was happening in our room. Light from upstairs also came through a glass structure between the rooms and lit up our bedroom. The closeness felt invasive and unsafe, and I couldn’t sleep at all on the first night at this B&B. The staff were especially kind, which makes it a shame, but they really need to improve the acoustics. I wouldn’t stay again.

Viola and her team were attentive and accommodating, and they reply quickly on WhatsApp. The place is very central but quiet, with spacious rooms, a well-equipped shared kitchen, and everything sparkling clean. I’d be delighted to stay again.

This is a late review, I’ve been so busy! We stayed here in February, and the owner greeted us warmly. First we were shown to a shared area where you could make tea, coffee, or food, then taken up to our room. I was gobsmacked by how large and nicely decorated it was, with lovely wooden beams. The only window was above the bed. You could open it, but it closes automatically when it rains, as it did during our stay. The room was very hot, though we’d been warned when we arrived. The bathroom had a shower and a large basin, plus a cheeky shower feature that made us laugh. There was a large wardrobe, but we only stayed one night and didn’t use it. All in all, a lovely stay.
