San Michele Apartments - Ferrum by Wonderful Italy

Avoid this place. Our flight was cancelled in France because of a strike, so we politely asked for a refund. The owner flatly refused. They said they'd refund the cleaning fee, but apparently forgot to do that too.

The apartment hadn't been cleaned when we arrived at 6:00 PM on Saturday. There were used towels in the bathroom and bits of toilet paper on the floor, and no sheets for the third bed. A young man came at 8:45 PM, cleaned with detergent we'd bought ourselves, and brought towels and sheets. Later we noticed one sheet was stained and the small towels were bath mats. We called Milan and Bologna several times, but no one else came during the week. We sent a certified email asking for compensation for the damage and got no reply. Terrible management.

I booked the apartment at Piazza San Michele 2 in Bologna to stay with my partner and our 10-month-old baby. Red-winged cockroaches were all over the apartment, wandering around at night. My partner asked the Bologna representative to move us to another property, but he refused and offered to spray poison instead. That wasn't suitable with a 10-month-old baby. I didn't sleep last night, and tonight I'll sleep somewhere else. I don't want to pay to live in a cockroach-infested apartment. Even with a central location, we didn't hear traffic because the accommodation faces a very quiet inner courtyard. The place was clean and tidy, with tasteful furnishings.
