Gardenhotel Premstaller

The rooms are spacious and the views are good. The location is okay, around a 15-minute bus ride into bozen, and I’d suggest it if the price is lower. My stay gets three stars from me, not four. The lights were switched off from 3 p.m., so coming into the hotel felt dark and depressing. The check-in woman was nice, but I was first given a single room despite booking a double. I got the double only after insisting.

The location worked well, with bus and train stations nearby, and the hotel was very clean, with rooms cleaned daily. But the customer service was poor for a four-star place. Breakfast was mediocre at best, with the same limited selection every day. There was also some strange behavior from the owner, who would turn off the lights and close the bar while paying customers were still there. Customer service was the biggest letdown, and I don’t think the hotel lives up to four stars.

The place has lost its charm, and the rooms were dusty. Breakfast was horrible, with hard, old bread and cheese from the previous day. The receptionist was unfriendly and smelled like a chimney. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

The room was spacious and had good air-conditioning, but we found out the restaurant was closed for dinner only after we got there. Since that hadn’t been mentioned, we had to bike back to the city center, 7 km away. Three stars seems like a fair rating for this hotel.
