Resort La Francesca

The place is beautiful, but staying without air conditioning was awkward and unbearable. Summer in Italy is hot, and after two days here, sleeping was almost impossible. 😫🫩🥵

We paid about €1,200 for a week in the apartment for me, my dad, and a friend, but basic things were missing, including forks, knives, spoons, and plates. The balcony table was so small it was hard to use. The beach was a long, tiring walk from the houses, so good luck getting there without a car. The mini golf seemed abandoned and poorly built, and we nearly lost two balls in the bushes. There were also many items missing from the market. I didn’t like the place at all.

The view is beautiful, but that seems to be all you’re paying for. The accommodation was very old and unreasonably expensive. There were cobwebs everywhere in the room, and it didn’t smell clean. The place felt like it belonged to the last century. It’s very remote, with no proper way onto the walking path to Bonassola, so you have to climb over a fence. We had housing for two families, but there were two toilets and just one old shower in one of them. Nobody came to clean the room all week. 😨

At 31 degrees outside, it was 39 inside the apartment, and we couldn’t stay there. We went looking for somewhere cooler. The restaurant was closed to customers because of a private event, and the supermarket didn’t open until around 6 or 7 pm, so we tried the pool instead. We ordered ice cream, but it had melted because the freezer wasn’t cold enough. On top of that, neither the apartment Wi-Fi nor mobile internet worked. All these amenities cost 180 euros a night.
