Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty to choose from, and everyone looked after us so warmly throughout the stay. We loved the spacious room and the beautiful village and surroundings. We had a great time!

The old village, Borgio Verezzi, is peaceful, spotless, and lovely to wander around, with places to eat and distinctive little shops. It’s one of the prettiest villages on the Ligurian Coast, and I’d happily come back. The inn itself sits above the Mediterranean, with charming rooms in a traditional style and a breakfast room overlooking the sea and village. Getting there from the upper road means negotiating stone steps, which could be awkward for some; there’s also a longer, flatter route to the east. Call first so they can meet you and help with your bags.

The breakfasts were wonderful every day, and our hosts were so kind. Everything had been thought through to make the stay comfortable and peaceful, and the rooms were clean and lovely. We felt very lucky to stay at Ca' d'Alda and can’t wait to come back for longer.

Verezzi is a real jewel, peaceful and away from the crowds, with Varigotti, Finalborgo and other lovely places close by. I had a wonderful stay, and my room’s large terrace looked out over the sea. The owners were attentive and made me feel at home.

The building has a character all its own, and the staff were excellent. Having lunch with that view was breathtaking!
