B&B Madama Granèt

The price feels fair for what you get. The room is clean and comfortable despite its rather low ceiling, and the bathroom is spacious with everything needed. Breakfast came to the room under the COVID rules. It was simple, all sweet packaged items.

The room itself was modern, attractive, and well kept, with a big bathroom, large window, and new fittings and tiles. The owners were kind, but the stay became disappointing once we were there longer than a night or two. We were there for six nights, yet the rubbish was taken out only once and there was no mid-stay clean or towel change. When we asked about towels, we were asked which ones we wanted replaced. We ate breakfast in the room, with packaged items under the COVID rules, and were told we couldn't have fresh yogurt or fruit. In over 30-degree heat, the rubbish smell got bad, especially since the street bins in Borgo San Dalmazzo weren't open. We even had to kill a cockroach in the room. There was no broom for us to tidy up, despite all the talk of sanitizing. There was nobody around when we left, so nobody said goodbye or explained what to do with the keys. Other guests had apparently had the same experience. Another surprise was having to pay the full amount at check-in after we'd already paid a third as a deposit. I hadn't encountered that before. A lot could be improved with little effort.

The owners were warm and kind, and the B&B is well placed for getting to Cuneo or France. Our room was roomy, beautifully furnished, and clean. There wasn't a closet, though it didn't matter for our one-night stay. Breakfast was basic and packaged, but during Covid they let us have it in the room. I'd recommend it.

I slept comfortably, and the room was clean, tidy, and practical. The manager gave us a warm welcome. I also liked seeing local products featured on the breakfast menu. Well done!
