Pier was kind and unobtrusive, more the quiet type. The area itself was peaceful, and it makes a handy starting point for hiking in the surrounding valleys. I’d stay there again if I came back. My room was spacious and nicely furnished. It had a kettle, two tea bags and sugar, though a few more options, maybe Nescafé, would be welcome. The bathroom was outside the room but reserved just for me, and it was huge and bright. Breakfast was generous: homemade fig jam, bread, biscuits, cereal, yogurt, juice, a hot drink, and a slice of cake from the neighbor. I really appreciated it. People who called it poor must have other issues or be idiots. I left full, and I liked that they avoid waste, since people can just nibble and leave food behind. There’s also a sitting room with a sofa and a kitchen where breakfast is served. You can use the kitchen only by arranging it and paying first.

The bed was very uncomfortable, and the room was cold enough that we slept in all our clothes. Heating came on at the last minute, then went off during the night. The host eventually calmed down, but still refused the breakfast that was included in our booking. The trouble started over a broken glass ornament on the radiator. The host flew into a rage, repeatedly swore at us and called us "Santo Christo." He demanded €100 without explaining the amount, then threatened to call the police and throw us out if we didn’t pay. He also seemed suspicious and listened in on us. The room wasn’t properly heated. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Avoid it.

The cold in the room matched the host’s attitude. We arrived late to an icy room with an outdated bathroom. The sheets were old and had holes, the electrical outlets were dated, and knick-knacks were scattered all over. There’s no proper parking either, just a dead end. At 11 PM, the host came into our room furious about a broken knick-knack, shouting "Santo Cristo." We apologized and stayed calm, but he yelled louder and said we’d be put out if we didn’t pay for it. That would have meant being outside in the middle of winter. He then refused to make breakfast the next day, not even coffee. I hadn’t intended to stay because of his irrational behavior. It was one of the most unpleasant nights I’ve ever had. I won’t go back. Avoid it.

The location was wonderfully quiet and just a ten-minute walk from the town center, where it’s easy to find lunch or dinner. There’s a lovely rice restaurant there, too. The owner was reserved but very kind and helpful, and even made homemade jam for breakfast. My partner and I stayed last August and had a great time. The mattress was very comfortable, and the apartment felt cozy. We’ve added the property to our list. Antonella and Fabio
