B&B Il Pittore

The hosts were so welcoming. We hope to come back and try dinner next time.

Dinner was a real highlight, everything tasted delicious and the portions were generous. Breakfast was very good too, especially the lady's excellent cakes. The rooms were spotless, and the family made us feel very welcome. Zeus the sweet dog was there to greet us as well. We picked the place because the holiday price was such a good deal. The road getting there is the one drawback, it's quite inconvenient until the new one opens.

The food was good and the scenery was lovely, but getting to the property was difficult without an off-road vehicle, especially with it only 5 degrees Celsius outside. When we asked for blankets, they said they'd turn up the heat. The boiler stopped working that night, though, and there weren't any blankets.

Daisy and Paolo were so helpful and welcoming. The place is peaceful and really clean, and we loved the homemade food with its traditional flavors. We also tried their preserves, including eggplant and spring onions in oil. They tasted simple and delicate, like the kind our mothers and grandmothers made with good ingredients, time, and love. We hope to be back soon, and would definitely recommend a meal at their warm, welcoming home restaurant.
