We were welcomed by a very kind lady, and the apartment was much brighter than my dark photos make it look. I stayed in the attic, though there are other apartments I haven't seen. It was spotless and had everything we needed, including all kinds of appliances and coffee. Inside, it was beautifully furnished and welcoming, with an entry hall, two bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds, a shower bathroom, and a big kitchen-dining room. From what I could tell, it's almost in the center of Bormio, just a 3-5 minute walk. I'd definitely stay here again if I came back.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and the location worked perfectly, close to Bormio's main ski lift and about a five-minute walk from the center. The apartment is lovely, all wood inside, very clean, and has everything you need.

Casa Caste turned out to be just right for the circumstances. The attic made available by Clara and Giuseppe's family was a lovely surprise, bright, welcoming from the start, and spotlessly clean. It has a privileged view of the Stelvio slope and sits in a quiet residential area just outside the center, while the lifts, shops, restaurants, and other services are all within walking distance. We went to Bormio in Valtellina for a few days in December 2020, staying in Lombardy after our usual South Tyrol holiday was ruled out. With the general Covid situation making Christmas look bleak, a home-away-from-home break felt like the best choice instead of being stuck at home. The apartment is spacious and easy to live in, with personally crafted woodwork by the owner adding warmth throughout. The furnishings and appliances are top-notch, and the comfortable beds and lovely linens made for a good night's rest. Clara also shared helpful tips on making the most of the Bormio area. Highly recommended!
