Chalet Terme Bormio

We came for a cycling trip last weekend and hope to return soon. The food was superb, the location was fantastic, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly.

We’ve just got home after a week at Hotel Terme, and it felt like staying in someone’s home. The family-run inn was warm and welcoming, with hospitality and helpfulness that were second to none. Thanks to Laura, Fernando, Federico, Francesca, and the lovely lady who looked after our room for making the week so special. Our room was ensuite, compact and small, but very comfortable, sparkling clean, and had everything we needed. The old town was about a five-minute walk away, with spectacular views of the snow-covered mountains and little towns. A free ski bus left from the back door for the ski lift about every 15 minutes. The meals were a highlight. We had a home-cooked four or five course dinner every night, served old style with silver service. It was sublime, and the service added a bit of theatre without feeling stuffy. The chef’s father was apparently celebrated locally for his cooking and taught at the local catering school, and his son’s food lived up to that standard. Breakfast brought freshly made croissants, fresh orange juice, meats and cheeses, and lovely sweet treats. I could go on and on about the food. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! The Irish couple.

We tried the restaurant for Easter dinner and were very pleased. There was plenty of traditional, tasty food, good wine, and kind staff. They also serve people who aren’t staying at the hotel.
