Beautiful.

Brothers Michele and Gabriele gave us a warm welcome in a lovely rural setting. The family-run Country House sits among the beautiful hills of Morro d'Oro and has a small restaurant, a swimming pool, and a few rooms for overnight stays. Its menu should appeal to the many tourists who visit: along with local favorites like arrosticini, fried cheese, and maccheroni alla chitarra with meatballs, there are creative dishes too. I tried a few starters, including gnocchetti with porcini mushrooms and crispy pancetta, followed by excellent sliced beef with yellow cherry tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan. Simplicity, friendliness, and professionalism make for five-star service!

A lovely spot surrounded by greenery, just right for a quiet weekend. The owner is very kind and helpful. We’ll definitely come back for a much longer stay.

The service was awful, honestly among the worst I’ve had. The waiter was absent and seemed to be trying to push us out, very unprofessional. The place itself is beautiful outside and cute inside, but getting there is a real hassle. The road is bumpy, full of potholes, and partly unpaved, so it needs work. The food was average, neither bad nor special. Prices were fair, except for the wine, €5 for a glass of poor house red. I don’t think I’ll return.
