We were so captivated that we canceled Venice and extended our stay. Esther, Valeria at the front desk, and Andrea from maintenance went above and beyond, showed us around, and shared the history of the place. It was lovely to see them and chat each day. The property is stunning and feels like stepping back in time, with a beautiful church on site that isn’t operational. Everything is simple, elegant, authentic, and refreshingly unpretentious. The staff’s warmth and passion made the stay unforgettable. We’ll definitely come back.

The staff made this place hard to leave. Esther and Valeria were so kind and attentive, always doing extra to make the stay memorable. I left feeling I’d found new friends and a home away from home. The rooms are modest but very comfortable, with thoughtful little touches. The charm is in the simplicity, though I’ve heard upgrades such as a swimming pool, spa, and gym may be added soon. At sunset, an aperitivo in the courtyard or lemon garden is unforgettable. From the moment you arrive at Sant'Anna in Camprena, there’s a sense of peace, tranquility, and spirituality. The Val d'Orcia views are sweeping, and the monastery’s architecture, frescoed walls, and church bells make it feel like another time. It felt like heaven on earth, and saying goodbye was harder than I expected. I can’t wait to return.

I’ve been here three times, though this was my first visit since the new owners took over. Such a special experience, with a peaceful Tuscan countryside setting, wonderful hosts, and great food. Come appreciate it if you get the chance!

The views were incomparable, the food amazing, and I still have memories that won’t fade. We explored all over the property, even through the woods, and found an ancient wall that had been used in a battle centuries or perhaps millennia ago. I stayed here just after it opened in 1998, when I first tried farm fresh eggs and milk. I remember Stefano giving us grappa after dinner, and us having more wine than we could possibly drink before crashing in our cells and setting out to hike the next day.
