Residenza Paola

We've been here for three weeks and have another two to go. Bormio is so beautiful, there's no chance of getting bored! We're staying in a lovely, fully renovated two-room apartment on the second floor, with two sunny terraces where I like to sunbathe. It's spotless and has everything we need, including a dishwasher, elevator, and garage. The town center is very close, so walking around and getting groceries is easy.

We stayed in apartment 1 at Residenza Paola in July 2019. The easy access to the shared garden was a real plus for a family with children, since we could keep an eye on them from inside. My daughters loved the bouncy castle there. The apartment is on the ground floor, not especially bright, but it has a lovely mountain view. It could use light summer blankets: there were only two winter duvets, too heavy even in the rainy, cool summer we had. Residenza Paola is charming and well placed near the historic center and shops, while set back enough from the noisy, chaotic main road. If we come back to Bormio, we'd stay there again! 👍

The one positive is the location near the center. There's no disabled access, and the locked garage door means you can't enter the building from inside the garage. The apartments are cold, the rooms are small, and the WiFi is so weak it doesn't work. The beds are French beds rather than doubles. The room is spacious. The apartment is roomy, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and there's plenty of space for children and adults. There's only one parking space at the apartment, and the WiFi is weak.

We've been coming for five years and are very happy with the place. The lady is so kind, and it's only a two-minute walk from the pedestrian street. I highly recommend it, especially if you have a dog, since dogs are welcome.
