Al Milano is worth the winding drive for the view over Lake Iseo alone. The mountain road can feel precarious in places, but the scenery at the top is astounding. I also loved the rustic, family feel, the Roman-style pizza, and the great choice of beer, wine, and grappa. The pizza was among the best I’ve had, and well worth making the trip for.
The pizzeria was buzzing with local families on Friday night, and we had a great meal with quick, friendly service. After 30 hours of travel we were exhausted, but the staff patiently worked through the language barrier and gave us a fantastic night’s stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

From the balcony, the view across Lake Iseo is spectacular. The kitchen is clearly in good hands, especially when it comes to meat, and the hostess makes homemade desserts for both breakfast and dinner. There’s also a well-stocked bar, always a nice extra.
