Hotel Eden

The owners are great friends of mine and lovely people, and I think of this hotel as a second home. It’s spotlessly clean, with perfect room service, light lunches by the pool, and lovely evening meals served by an efficient dining room team. There’s now a shuttle bus to Garda bus station, then it’s an easy stroll to the lake front. On Fridays there’s a large outdoor market. Regular sailings on rapids boats and slow sightseeing boats take you across the lake to the resorts, and there’s famous ice cream nearby in Bardolino. Give it a try, you’ll love it as I do. Ciao.

They describe this as the only gluten free hotel at Lake Garda, and they really do follow through. Each morning I choose my gluten free breakfast, and they make sure there’s no contamination. Dinner is chosen in the morning too, and every meal is clearly marked gluten free. The receptionists and the waiters and waitresses are all really helpful.

The staff are amazing, friendly, and professional, and the place feels calm and special. The hotel has great views and is being refurbished, though it’s not the newest building. For the best experience, try to book one of the refurbished rooms. Nice restaurants and the town centre are within walking distance.

The lake view from the second floor was lovely, and the food was great. Staff were really friendly and enthusiastic. Our room was older but fine. I imagine they may have newer, prettier rooms, though we only booked three days ahead.
