We booked a suite at Il Santellone Lifestyle Resort and were given suite/room 404. As soon as we walked in, we saw a large number of insects, including flying and crawling ants, what looked like cockroaches, and others we couldn't identify. This was more than one or two bugs. The room was visibly affected and, in our view, unfit for guests. We went straight to reception to complain and request a different room, but were told none was available. Staff also said they knew there had been a problem in that room, though they had assumed it was fine because housekeeping hadn't reported anything after cleaning it that day. We were travelling with our baby, and expecting a family with an infant to stay among insects and cockroaches was unhygienic and completely unacceptable, especially at a hotel calling itself a lifestyle resort. We refused to stay and asked to cancel the booking, which the hotel did. Beyond the insects, the bigger concern was the lack of proper quality checks and that a room with a known issue was apparently still handed to guests. I can't recommend the hotel based on our experience. Future guests, especially families with children, should check their rooms carefully before unpacking or settling in. Room 404 shouldn't have been offered in that condition.

The setting is lovely, rustic, and feels like a little island in the city. I was very happy with the breakfast choices and impressed by the range: lactose-free yogurt, all kinds of seeds and nuts, eggs, sweet and savory items, orzo coffee, cappuccino, different juices, and more. I could finally eat without worrying. The room was nice and quiet, though it wasn't quite clean all over. My dad's shower water was cold, while I had no trouble when I showered first, aside from taking a while to work out how it operated. I would definitely recommend the place.

The hotel is flexible. For instance, they served breakfast a bit earlier than usual when I asked. It's in a quiet area where you can enjoy a nice evening stroll.

A nice little hotel, only a short drive from Brescia city center, with plenty of parking. Our room had two levels, a bedroom plus a living area with a sofa bed. The breakfast selection was small but varied. It could use lights in the corridor.

The breakfast was very nice, and the rooms and pool were lovely. We only stayed one night before a flight from MXP airport, about 90 minutes away on a Sunday morning. The front desk team and the staff serving after-dinner drinks were really friendly. Getting a taxi to Brescia was possible, though arranging one for the trip back was a bit tricky. The hotel itself was great.
