Casa Camas, wide 2bedroom, Cervinia

Restaurant Gou was a highlight of our first stay at the Valtur Hotel. We ate there every evening and were looked after warmly throughout, with service that was attentive and professional from start to finish. The atmosphere was stylish and lively, with DJ music in the background. The food was another standout: Aosta Valley dishes made with refined, high-quality ingredients, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We felt thoroughly spoiled by the food, service and atmosphere, and this visit was unforgettable. We've been coming to Cervinia for ski holidays for the fifth time, and this was easily our best experience so far. We'll certainly be back.

The hotel has a great location, and we liked the atmosphere, breakfast, dinner buffet and pool. Getting to the slopes was easy, either on a very efficient shuttle or by the little “lift” belt behind the house. But the best part for us was the staff. They were friendly, positive and gave great service throughout our stay. A special shoutout to the lovely ladies at the front desk, Lucia, Angela and Erica. Grazie Mille.

We stayed for a week with our children, aged 3.5 and 5, and really loved it. The kids club was great, and they went there happily. The spa was beautiful and had a pleasant atmosphere, though you need to book ahead. The hotel itself is stunning, with everything new and clean. The food was great, and there were always plenty of staff around to help, whether at meals or elsewhere in the hotel. It's a real five-star hotel, and the staff were amazing.

The rooms are nice, the ski and boot room is good, and the spa facilities are very nice. But the spa is crowded and costs an extra €35, and drinks are twice the price of beer and wine in town. Service was okay. The food let us down. The pizzeria is mediocre, the high-end tasting restaurant is very poor, and the buffet at Gargantua is also pretty poor. In Italy I'd expect great food, and I've had better in England than at this hotel. If I came back, I'd stay in a local hotel and eat and drink in town. You'd be closer to the town and lifts, with better quality food and drink at lower prices.
