The room views were spectacular, with the Matterhorn and the street below on one side, and the Christmas tree and park from the other angle. It could get a little noisy from the bars and clock tower before 9 pm, but it all quieted down after that. The Wi-Fi was great, the shower was hot and strong, the beds were very comfortable, and the heater worked well. We usually stay in four- or five-star places like Hilton and Marriott, so we were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Sporting's quality. We booked at the last minute and found a really reasonable price. The 4.1 rating seemed too low and inaccurate, since some reviews are actually for the restaurant. We could park just outside, which was handy with our large luggage. Just drive up and give them your car plate to add to the restricted zone. The location is unbeatable, right in the centre between two ski lifts, ski rentals, and a supermarket. Everyone on staff was smiling and friendly. They answered all our pre-arrival questions quickly by email and gave us two extra pillows when we asked. There's a small, fast elevator. The rooms have a quaint ski lodge feel rather than modern design, which we liked, and they were clean and comfortable, with soft, fluffy towels. There are a few small quirks, but honestly they're forgivable: a crack in the toilet seat, a European hairdryer that only fit our adapter and not the actual European plugs, and random department store hangers that made me laugh. There's a ski locker onsite and a restaurant downstairs. We also got a 15% discount at 2.0 Ski rental down the road, though we only found out when renting our skis. This is our second night here, and unfortunately our last this time. The room is in excellent condition, cozy and really comfortable. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. It's just a short stop on our trip this year, but it's absolutely somewhere worth returning to. I'll definitely come back. Warm regards, and thanks for a fantastic stay!

Skip eating here. The prices are high, the staff weren't nice, portions are small, and the food was just so-so. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby. I paid 38 euros for 150 g of meat and one potato.

We had planned to eat out, but ended up having dinner at the hotel every night because the food was fantastic. The staff were fun, service-minded, and really good at their jobs. Our group of five all liked the location and everything else about our stay, and we'd strongly recommend staying here.
