Le Camelie

The owners gave us helpful tips for the area and spoke English and French very well. We also really enjoyed the filling breakfast, especially after several places with the usual sparse morning spread. Le Camelie itself is gorgeous, and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Best B&B we've ever stayed at. Highly recommended!

The gardens and surroundings were absolutely beautiful. If you don't mind staying outside the city, this place is definitely worth it. Our rooms were spacious and had what we needed, including one full apartment with beds for four. The hosts were great, and the village setting was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was very limited, though: cookies and crackers instead of bread, a little Cornflakes, butter, tart, and coffee. The fridges in the rooms make it possible to buy a few things to add to it. Getting up to the hotel by car is a little tricky on the narrow road, especially in a bigger car. There are three parking spots on a slope and they're rarely free, but you can find more farther down near a church.

The owners were very kind, and the old house was clean and well cared for. It was quiet and felt safe. Reaching it by car is difficult, and access can be hard for disabled people or anyone who has trouble walking. The Wi-Fi also wasn't reliable enough if you need to work.

I felt at home and relaxed right away in this lovely, quiet village near lake Maggiore. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the old house was beautiful, with large rooms that had everything you could need. I'd love to come back :)
