The desk attendant went out of his way to make us comfortable, adjusting the heating, bringing extra blankets, and helping with the window blinds. Breakfast was really good too. The room was simple, and the hallways were dim, but I’d recommend the place. It’s a quick drive to Lago di Braies and other spots we wanted to see. Just be aware that the restaurant on site closes at 8 pm, so eat before arriving if you’re checking in late.

It’s in a quiet spot on the road to the Aurina Valley. The turnoff to the hotel is a little hidden, though you’ll remember it after the first time. The rooms are dated, but clean and practical, and they’re cleaned every day. The in-house chef prepares a varied, authentic menu carefully. There’s a vegetable buffet, two first courses and two main courses to choose from, plus generous portions of dessert and very good ice cream. Breakfast leans sweet, but there are savoury choices too.

We’ll definitely come back. The family who run the hotel are friendly and attentive, and the owners go out of their way for guests. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful, as is dinner, with lots of vegetables available. The location is excellent for bike paths and hiking trails, and close to Brunico. Lake Braies, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and other popular destinations are easy to reach from here. Thank you!

We chose half-board and found it worthwhile. The food was good, provided you don’t go in with high expectations, and breakfast was excellent. A few small reservation issues were sorted out quickly. The rooms were basic but clean. The hotel feels a little dated, and the setting isn’t quite perfect.
