La Collina

Gió took such good care of us during our week at Chianti La Collina, answering questions about the property and helping us figure out the best things to do. The villa is clean and cozy, and being an old family home, it feels like you’re part of the family. The green grounds, sweet gardens, and majestic trees feel almost dreamlike. It sits at the top of a hill, surrounded by beautiful rolling Tuscan hills. I’d happily recommend it, and hope to stay here again if we return to Tuscany.

We spent two weeks here and were taken with the charming villa, its setting, and our host Giovanni. The house was in excellent shape, perched on a small hill with lovely views in every direction, and there was always a little breeze to cool things down. We’ve stayed in plenty of houses in Tuscany, but the host was what made this place special. Giovanni really earned the title, always trying to work out what would suit us, from shopping and wine tasting to jogging, bike tours, restaurants, photo sessions, and dinner at home. We’re already looking forward to seeing him again!

The view is AMAZING, and the spacious, comfortable villa feels just like an authentic Tuscan home should. Chianti la collina made for a perfect vacation. Govani is a wonderful, big-hearted host who makes you feel at home.

The homemade food was delicious, and the setting was spectacular, especially during wine season. A wonderful place that really gives you a feel for Tuscany.
