Hotel Villa Sermolli

We were excited about the possibility of holding our wedding at Villa Sermolli, since we’re planning to marry in Buggiano Castello next year. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, but the visit left us very disappointed. Our tour lasted only around 10 minutes and was repeatedly interrupted, which felt very brief for a wedding venue. The event organiser didn’t explain much in person, and most of our questions got the answer, "it's all in the email,". We left feeling like an inconvenience instead of potential customers. When we later tried to get a manager’s name so we could share feedback, we were hung up on twice and our number was blocked 😂 It was hard to believe. This was the poorest customer service we encountered while visiting venues in the area. 01 June 2026 - UPDATE Villa Sermolli’s response is misleading and false. We clearly told the staff there would be 40 to 50 guests. Again, extremely poor management at this venue.

We came back to this hotel after a year and everything is still perfect. The garden is full of color, with lemons hanging from the trees, and the service is impeccable as always. This year’s food and menu were amazing, and we’ll definitely return next year. One suggestion: given the hotel’s style, we’d also really recommend making it adults only.

The hotel is beautifully situated, and the decor gives it a very authentic feel. There’s a full breakfast buffet, with espresso and excellent croissants.

The Tuscan landscape view was amazing, and the location is very nice. That was about all we enjoyed, though. Our room’s terrace was right above the restaurant, and it was very noisy. We could hear everything from inside and outside, and couldn’t sleep or rest in the room until the restaurant closed at night. When we checked out, the receptionist didn’t even ask if we’d been satisfied, though we wanted to give feedback. The location is the only thing this hotel profits from. It’s definitely not at a 4 star level.
