Agriturismo Pieve Sprenna

At Agriturismo Pieve Sprenna, we stayed in La Camelia, a lovely room with wonderful views. We had aperitivo there one evening while watching the sunset, and ate dinner there most nights. The food was excellent and breakfast had a great range of choices. We loved our time there and would definitely recommend it!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the farm's family were so friendly and accommodating. We loved the views and the perfect location, and every one of our six nights on this beautiful, clean, historic farm was a joy. The animals were a bonus, especially the dogs and pigs. Thank you so much 😊

We spent a week in the beautiful Camelia room, and it was everything we'd hoped for and more. Nearly every guest we met had been back before, which tells you a lot. We've already promised ourselves we'll return. Virginia, Aurora and their wonderful parents greeted us with such warmth. I mentioned once that I can't have gluten, and they remembered at every meal without me having to say it again. That thoughtfulness meant a lot. We ate dinner there three times. Each meal celebrated Tuscan flavors, made with care and served in a peaceful setting. The wine list was excellent, and the pairing advice made the meals even more memorable. The grounds are breathtaking, with views that make you slow down and enjoy the moment.

The food was good and everything was clean, and the location is beautiful, a lovely way to see another side of Tuscany. But the service felt cold and unpredictably impatient, as if we were a nuisance. Not all the staff were rude, but the hospitality overall left a lot to be desired. We paid a lot for fairly standard accommodation, and the service wasn't good enough. It spoiled what should have been a nice stay and left us with mixed feelings. For the setting alone it could have been five stars, but for us it was a fair three. We arrived by bus, then faced a long dirt road up the hill to the house. After paying so much to stay there, nobody would give us a ride to the bus stop. We walked 40 minutes in the heat with our luggage to catch the bus. If it hadn't been for my partner, the stay would have been terrible.
