CIVICO41 Lucca City Center Apartment

The price is high for a small apartment that, even in the heart of Lucca, doesn’t meet basic hospitality standards. The quality doesn’t match the rates. The water pressure was so low that taking a shower was impossible, probably to save money. Cleanliness was also a serious problem, with piles of dust on the furniture, floors, and under the beds. We’re on our way to Genoa to stay at the Gaslini Hospital for my daughter’s asthma, and she had an asthma attack here, which we believe was caused by all the dust beneath her bed and the bed beside it in the bedroom. We’re leaving in a hurry and sincerely hope we’ll get a refund for the second night, which we obviously won’t be staying.

Shops and restaurants are close by, and Wi-Fi is available. The apartment is pleasant and roomy, with several rooms, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom with a toilet. The ceiling fan works well and was much appreciated in the heat. The staircase at the entrance is very steep, so take care going up and down.
