Agriturismo Villa Gaia

I love this place. Top class restaurant and hotel.

Gaia and her mother welcomed us and our cat straight away when we stayed at Agriturismo Villa Gaia this summer. Our room had plenty of space and was well equipped, including a fridge and air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade cakes and local products. The location is excellent too, close to what I think are the most beautiful beaches in the Oristano area.

We were there from August 3rd to 6th, and it was hard to think about leaving. The rooms were clean and spacious, the bathroom was roomy, and the beds were especially comfortable. Breakfast came with homemade cakes and locally sourced products. Villa Gaia is perfectly placed for visiting the Sinis Mountains, and the owners were kind and welcoming. It wasn't goodbye for us, just see you later.

The two ladies were friendly, though only the younger one speaks a little English. This is a lovely, very quiet place, but it may feel remote if you want things within walking distance. Beautiful beaches and the nearest town are about 15 minutes away, and the lake view on the approach from the south is lovely. Parking is right in front of the property. The air conditioning was noisy and rather weak, and the room was cleaned only every three days. Internet and phone reception were both very poor, which seems typical in Sardinia. The cats scratched my car, unfortunately, though that's beyond anyone's control. There are some nice places to visit nearby, including the archaeological site in Tharros. All in all, I'd recommend the accommodation.
