Guest House - BluLassù Rooms

The location made getting around easy. We could walk to the train station and other places, with restaurants close by. It was also simple to reach from the airport, and the beach is a short bus ride away. Allesandra was a great host, friendly, spoke English well, and shared recommendations. She was available on WhatsApp if I needed help. I traveled alone and had a double bed to myself, plus a private bathroom. The place was clean, tea and coffee were provided, and cleaners came every other day. It’s good value, with everything needed for a comfortable stay, though nothing luxurious.

The place was close to the center, with air-conditioning, a TV, and a hairdryer. There’s no reception, but we got keys for all the doors and could reach them on WhatsApp. A bus stop is right outside, and we found free parking nearby without much trouble. The staff were friendly, especially the guy who welcomed us. The room was okay, though the view wasn’t good. We were a couple sharing a double bed made from two single mattresses, which was very uncomfortable. One towel smelled a bit the first time they changed them, but the towels were fine after that. We’d also booked a private bathroom, but it was outside the room, which was really inconvenient and annoying.

The rooms are roomy and pleasant, and the air-conditioning works great. Central Cagliari is close enough to reach on foot.

I booked two superior double rooms with en-suite bathrooms through the website for 1st. To the 6th October 2022, with payment due at the property rather than online in advance. My flight was due in around 9pm, so Alessandra got in touch to say someone would meet us to check in, since reception wouldn’t be staffed after 8pm. The late check-in cost an extra €15 per room. Riccardo handled the check-in, very thoroughly and professionally, and Alessandra was easy to reach by phone for questions, information, or advice. The rooms were spacious and just as shown online, though the pictures don’t do the interiors justice. The decor is beautiful, with high ceilings, and some rooms look onto a patio, making them especially private and quiet at night. Milena, the housekeeper, was proactive and kept the room spotless each time she serviced it. I’d bought my own shower gel, and she noticed and left the supplied toiletries alone, a small gesture I appreciated. When I asked Alessandra for the beach towels and parasol advertised on the website, she responded quickly, and we had them within less than 2 hours. She also suggested a local Bar called “”Cafe’ Equador””, which I’ll review separately. The place felt perfect and immaculate, and I especially liked that there were separate bins in the rooms for recycling different materials. A safe in the room would be a nice addition, but I left some high-value items there while I was out and never worried about a break-in. I had the best time at Blulassú, and think everyone should try this boutique guesthouse at least once in their life. I’m looking forward to returning next time I’m in cagliari.
