The hotel is well placed for the city center, and there are bus connections to the beach. Breakfast is Italian style, with coffee and a pastry at the café bar nearby. It's a lovely family-run place, with amazing service and extremely helpful staff. The rooms have a traditional feel, high ceilings, and antique furniture. WiFi is available, and some rooms have spectacular sea views.

The owner was very warm and welcoming, and the location is hard to beat, right across from the harbour with lots of restaurants around. I gave it five stars overall. One suggestion: the bedroom could use renovation and a more modern look. Also, housekeeping left the window open and mosquitoes came in. A mosquito electric lamp would help if the windows are going to be opened.

We liked Bundes Jack enough to return for our last night, and it was conveniently close to the airport. The hotel is right by the Port of Cagliari, in the middle of the city and a few steps from the historic district. Luca and Miranda were so friendly and knew the area well, with excellent suggestions for places to eat and things to see. The rooms keep their original Sardinian decor and style, and we loved that old school feel. Most of all, the owners' kindness stood out. I first stayed there on a work trip, and Luca and Miranda exceeded our expectations. This family business has been going since 1938, with the tradition of hospitality passed down to Luca.
