Il Perugino

Enrico, the B&B manager, is an angel on Earth. He rescued us twice during the trip: first when we urgently needed somewhere near the hospital at 11p, then again when we couldn't get a taxi to the airport for our flight. Taxis in Sardinia are impossible to get, and without Enrico driving us, we would literally have missed the flight. The B&B is about 10 minutes from Cagliari airport and within walking distance of the hospital, with a supermarket and restaurants nearby if you don't have a car. We loved staying with Enrico and would absolutely return. You’re a superhero, Enrico. The place felt like staying with family, was very clean, and had good A&C and dark shades for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is free, and there was water in the fridge when we arrived late and everything was closed, which was a lifesaver.

We stayed one night after landing at Cagliari airport, then continued on to Villasimius. It’s a handy location if you need a base near the airport. Enrico is quite a character, very present, ironic, and always ready with jokes. Depending on what you like, he may seem friendly or a little intrusive. The house is pleasant and simply furnished, but the room was very hot when we arrived. The air conditioning was off, so we had to wait for it to cool the room. Both the room and bathroom were small, and the shower especially narrow. Since the rooms are part of an inhabited house, there isn't much soundproofing. We heard the TV in another room late into the night, and the air conditioning was noisy too. Breakfast is in the kitchen, with packaged items, a few fresh croissants, yogurt, and drinks. Nothing special, but enough to start the day. It’s fine for a short stopover, especially if you’re not too demanding and sleep well. I wouldn’t suggest it for a longer stay.
