The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The apartments, though, are run down and old-fashioned, and the cleanliness was horrendous. There was so much sand inside you could make your own beach, the doors had damp, and when I looked for plug sockets in the main bedroom, I found dirty underwear left by a previous guest. The toilet needed about 15 pushes before it flushed. We arrived during the night and went to reception to ask if it could be fixed, but were told nothing could be done until morning. I asked if there was a communal toilet to use overnight. They said no, and the receptionist just shrugged when I asked what we were meant to do. The lighting inside the apartments is very poor, so it feels dark and miserable at night. When I asked to move to a different apartment, I was told it wouldn't be any better and that we had a premium apartment. If that's the premium standard, I can only imagine the rest. The place is in the middle of nowhere, so you'll need a car, and there is very little food or drink available on site. We left after just 18 hours of what was supposed to be a four-night stay. At checkout, nobody even asked why. At least there are several lovely hotels not far away for not much more money.

The bar service was really kind, and the croissant and tea were good. We also appreciated the free use of the washing machine. Unfortunately, the dryer wasn’t working, and the Wi-Fi signal in our apartment was weak. We had a few rainy days and the ceiling leaked, though the staff were very kind and helpful. The place is lovely, especially when it’s sunny, and it’s close to the sea with a nice swimming pool.

We’ve already stayed at Baia Delle Palme twice in one year, and now we’re planning to come back for a third visit. We love the surroundings and architecture, as well as the pool area. The top-floor apartments are lovely. Highly recommend!

The nearby beach was just what we wanted, absolutely heavenly. We found the cleaning adequate. The final cleaning charge seemed a strange arrangement, but we knew about it beforehand and had factored it in. Our apartment was quite nice and spacious, even if a little outdated. Service is basic, which suits this kind of resort. It has a very quiet, keep-to-yourself kind of vibe, and we loved our stay.

The pool and the surroundings are nice, and the hotel itself is good. What left us unimpressed was how it’s run. Towels for the beach cost 5 euros each, and we were charged about 70 euros in cleaning fees for a direct booking. Even so, we were told to clean the kitchen ourselves, including the hob and dishes, and take the rubbish to a faraway collection area that wasn’t accessible anyway. It felt as if extra conditions and charges kept cropping up. I’m sure you can find better places around there for the same rates.
