Weingut Moser Apartments

The private beach on Lake Kaltern was a real bonus. There’s good parking there, and you can rent stand-up paddleboards and sun loungers. At the apartment, the garden is beautifully kept and a lovely place to relax. In the evenings, enjoying the winery’s wines there was a highlight. The complimentary bread roll delivery was another nice extra. We booked through Booking.com and were very happy with the stay. The furnishings were high quality and thoughtfully chosen, and everything was spotless. The underground garage has plenty of space for guests and a charging station for electric cars. The busy road runs right in front of the garden and can be heard indoors. With the windows shut, though, we couldn’t hear it, and the air conditioning worked well even in August at 30 degrees Celsius. Dogs are welcome to swim in the lake and run freely in the garden, which made the stay even better.

We’ve made this stylish vineyard apartment one of our favorite places and come back several times a year. The layout is practical and attractive, and everything is high quality. There are five fairly similar apartments, each with a large room, wardrobe, small kitchenette, good bed, sitting area, modern bathroom and a garden space running the full width of the apartment. The satellite TV had nearly every German channel, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s very clean, and fresh towels or a cleaning service could be arranged each morning. Bread and pastries are left on a small table by the door from about 8:30 a.m., and the car can be kept safely in a garage. The kitchen is well equipped, though oddly there’s no toaster or oven. Check-in means picking up key cards at a hotel about seven minutes away. The people there are very friendly and share lots of useful information about the area and current activities. One drawback for dog owners is that the garden areas are divided by hedges rather than fences. The apartment isn’t cheap, and dogs cost an extra 20 euros per day, but we think it’s worth the money. There’s also a small brewery at the winery, so good wine and beer are right at hand.

We visited the winery and saw how the beer and wine are made, then finished with a tasting of an excellent selection of both.

The garden was a dream for our dogs, and the beer garden next door was so inviting :) We had a lovely short break in fantastic apartments, with bread delivered too. We'd definitely come back :)
