Hp Fly Hotel Bologna

This was a really bad stay, the worst hotel I've ever been in. The room wasn't clean and looked nothing like the photos. Some staff were very nice, but another was so rude and seemed ready to fight, even though we were kind. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

The 24-hour reception was useful, the staff were friendly, and checkout at 11am helped after I arrived at 2.30am. I needed a cheap place after a very late flight into Bologna, and HP Fly did the job. The room was functional and the bed surprisingly comfy, though definitely not high end. Decent for the price. You can walk from the airport, but it takes just over half an hour along a main road with no pavement. That didn't put me off, but it's worth knowing. I tried taking a taxi at first, but the driver misunderstood and took me to Fly OK, a few km in the opposite direction. I only realized after I'd paid and he'd driven off. My mistake, but mentioning it in case someone else runs into the same thing.

We only stayed because the short notice left us unable to find another place for one night before our flight. The economy room was never going to be luxurious, but I still expected basic hygiene and function, especially given the online photos. Instead, the cleanliness was so poor that it was uncomfortable to relax or sleep. The toilet seat hinge was broken, the hairdryer didn't work, and the bathroom was unkempt, with heavy mildew. There were stains and hairs on the bedsheet protector, marks on most of the walls, and no window blind or curtain, just the main shutter, which was a little inconvenient. Cables were hanging out of the wall, and live cables in a wall cavity were covered by a turnable pannel. Cable management was poor throughout, raising the likelihood of fire hazards, and the walls were very thin, so we could hear nearby rooms easily. The health and safety standards seem questionable. The room looked nothing like the website photos. We wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Everything was clean, and I’m very grateful for the kind service. My flight was canceled, so I got to the hotel very late for an unplanned night in Bologna. A friendly receptionist helped me find something to eat. In the morning they gave me coffee for free when I asked if I could buy a cup, and arranged a free trip to the airport because it was raining. I can definitely recommend the Hotel.
