Kaja is a wonderful host, full of useful information and tips about local places to visit. Picobello Zimmer & Atelier is a beautiful B&B, about 10 minutes from Calolziocorte train station. The shared spaces in the apartment are put together so artfully, with thought evident in the decor throughout. The views are splendid, and the nearby bell tower adds to the feeling of being in a little Italian town. Our upstairs room was spacious, with a lovely little balcony and a large bathroom with a shower. There’s also a bigger terrace, which we used a couple of times when we ate in. Guests have a coffee machine, plenty of herbal teas, crispbread, jams, and mini cakes. We’re Brits, so we managed to find some English breakfast tea 😉 A B&B has a more personal feel than a hotel, and Kaja seems to think of all those little details that make a difference. Highly recommend 🤗

The shared rooftop terrace was beautiful, and we had our own little terrace where we enjoyed coffee in the morning. Kaja got in touch before we arrived, explained what we needed to know, and suggested places to visit. Once we checked in, it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home in Italy. Picobello is decorated so thoughtfully, the kitchen has everything we needed, and the place was spotless. We loved our one-night stay.

The roof terrace was another lovely spot, and we also had a veranda. The apartment felt modern throughout, with loads of space and really nice decor. It was my first trip to Italy, and I came to meet my daughter. We stayed four nights and would definitely come back.

The owner was so helpful and made sure our holiday went really well. Everything was great, from the breakfast and service to the location, and it was very clean. I’d definitely recommend it for families!

We were in a great spot between the mountains and the lake, with Lecco, Bergamo, and Milano all well placed for getting to. The hospitality was perfect.
