The Palazzo has a real Italian village feel, with interesting touches from another era. The owner clearly loves antiques, and you can see it throughout the rooms. The kitchen has everything you need, and there's a washing machine in the bathroom. We stayed four nights, and each was better than the one before. It's close to Salerno, which worked very well for us. This probably isn't the spot for someone who wants everything to feel like a five-star hotel or is very particular.

In atmospheric Calvanico, we found comfortable beds, bathrooms with good equipment, and heating that worked well.

A nice place, but the welcome was lacking. We didn't see any linen service or cleaning. You can't leave ten people with the same towels for three days.

There isn't much left of the Palazzo. It felt like being in the script of "Welcome to the South", with a mix of people from different ethnic backgrounds. Wouldn't repeat the stay.

A charming, unusual spot, quiet and peaceful, with nature all around. The owner was hospitable and helpful.
