We’ve just left after a week, and the garden and pool were beautifully kept, though they gave a misleading impression of the stay. Our two families found the little houses disappointing: there were ants, slugs and mold, and the cleaning was poor, despite Mrs. Elisabetta charging €100 for it. The mattresses were the worst part, completely sagging and impossible to sleep on. When I raised that with Mrs. Elisabetta, she said the property gets many foreign guests of a certain size, unfortunately. At the start, the welcome was rushed, and after that she disappeared. I wanted to talk with her at the end, but the gardener was the one who returned our deposit. If we hadn’t paid the whole amount up front, we would not have stayed for the full week.

We stayed in the Serenella apartment, one of six in a beautiful holiday home surrounded by greenery. It was spacious, cute, clean and had everything we needed, including sheets and towels. The large, well-kept garden has outdoor tables and a barbecue, while the pool area has new loungers and umbrellas plus a nice spot to relax. Elisabetta and her husband were kind and helpful, and even welcomed us with a bottle of good wine. Shops, bars and pizzerias are close by. Thanks to them both, we’ll be back!

We came back in 2021 and stayed in Fauna. It was clean and well furnished again, and you can see how much care the owners put into keeping the farmhouse in good shape. Thanks so much! On our earlier stay, we had Serenella, which was quiet, clean and had all the comforts we needed, including its own barbecue. The garden is surrounded by greenery, with a spacious pool and seating reserved for the apartment: an umbrella, two loungers and a director’s chair. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Elisabetta and Enrico were especially friendly and helpful, and we felt very comfortable here. The apartments are spacious, with kitchens that have almost everything needed for everyday use. The pool and the space around it are stunning. For getting out and about, the beach is around 20 minutes away, Lucca and its lovely center about 15 minutes, and Florence roughly 70 minutes. Fantastic, and we’d gladly return.
