Albergo Ristorante Del Sole

We stopped here on the fourth leg of the Franciscan Way of the Marche. It’s a little dated, though the rooms were clean, and the staff was available whenever we needed something. The location above Lake Polverina is great, and the hotel is easy to reach despite being about a kilometer off the main road. Dinner and breakfast could use improvement, but we appreciated having gluten-free options. There’s room for this hotel to do better.

The rooms were clean, and the lake is right below the property for a refreshing swim. We stayed here while walking the Franciscan Way of the Marche. It’s a little off the beaten path, about 1 km if I remember right, but manageable. The owners were welcoming and kind. The place feels as if time has stood still, like stepping into the past when you walk in. : )

We spent some lovely, relaxing time around Camerino, including nearby Fiastra and other beautiful nature reserves. Our small, clean two-star hotel was cozy, and it deserves a third star. The cuisine was exquisite, full of flavors from the best of Marche tradition. There’s a splendid view of Lake Polverina from the dining room and some rooms. My wife, children, and I enjoyed our time both at the table and at the hotel. Mike

Breakfast with a view of the lake, and a place that really feels like home. Such a lovely spot, highly recommended.
