We were asked to move out in less than a day because the hostess didn't like us. My boyfriend and I are a quiet couple, and we'd never had this kind of trouble on our travels. Being evicted in the middle of the season in a resort town felt completely inhumane. During that short stay, the hostess made many comments that seemed tied to a personal dislike of us. The house has rules that you only hear about after doing something wrong, when the hostess explains them with a dissatisfied look. For example, the balcony is the only place to dry things and is also used for eating. While I was hanging laundry, she didn't mention that I should take it down before breakfast, which wasn't obvious to me since it was still wet. Please read the Booking reviews carefully, as others have described the hostess's hospitality in a similar way. If this had been our first visit to Italy, we'd have been completely disappointed in the place and its people. The hotel balcony has a wonderful view, and the rooms and lobby are decorated in a palace style that looks great. That's where the advantages end.

Dirty, with a smell of cat urine and faeces. The litter tray is by the bathroom entrance and goes unemptied for long periods. Animal hair everywhere. Vomitevole. Avoid!

The hostess was warm and helpful throughout, and shared some really useful excursion ideas. I’d read a review calling her rude, but that wasn’t our experience at all. The B&B is easy to reach, with the station a few minutes away and a bus stop close by. We stayed four nights and loved the house. Our room looked out to the sea, and everything was spotless. The rooms are cared for and beautifully decorated, with details like old floors and a painted ceiling.
