The natural swimming pool was a hit with the kids and my partner. I’m too much of a wimp for cold water, though! We had three nights in one of the beautiful chalets, which was spotless and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, and the blackout blinds were a great touch. The owner and his son were super friendly, showed our children around the farm, and suggested hikes that were suitable for kids. We were lucky with the weather, which helped a lot.

The lake chalets are beautifully built, well stocked with all the amenities, and spacious enough for a big family or a group of friends. The area is incredible, and it’s an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, supermarket, bus and train station. I’d highly recommend staying here, and hope we can come back soon. Our visit was cut a little short by the tragic flooding in town after the heavy rainstorms in early July. It was good to see the townspeople and emergency services working together to clean up and help affected families and properties get back on their feet.
